Bread Knows …

Yesterday was bread baking day.

I wasn’t in the best of moods when I started. In fact, you could say I was downright grumpy (another story).

When I took the first baked loaf out of the pan, my ocd-ish personality wasn’t pleased, and now, even more grumpy.

I took the photo, sent it to our daughter, and told her about my mood.

Her reply was, “Oh Mom … bread knows, and it’s manifesting you!”

With that, I cracked up laughing and got on with my day.

By the way, the other two loaves came out perfect.

Thanks, Charla and yes, it’ll definitely be a great memory. I was suffering from sleep loss over a period of 3 days. That doesn’t work in my world. All’s good again 😎

That was funny, Terry. I would slice that piece and eat it with coffee—voilà.

I had that end piece as soon as it cooled down enough to eat it, Edward. It was just the perfect amount of crispy and the crumb inside was tender and very good. The rest of the loaf continues to be good, so the outside appearance didn’t do much besides surprise me.

Nice! I do the same when I use my bread maker. One of the ends always comes out kind of hard, so I cut that piece and eat it with a little butter or strawberry jam.

I had no idea that bread can be so intuitive. I will be more careful about what I say around Momos baking day. Looks good though.

Apparently it can be, Phil. It put on a grouchy face, but was wonderful inside.

No matter what it looks like I’d like a nice warm piece slathered with butter. Have a good day, Terry!

It’s actually very good, Betty! Today, it’ll play host to a tomato sandwich 😊 You have a good day too!

I would have thought the bad mood would help with the firm kneading that is required! Either way, this looks scrumptious 🙂
