My cousin, Carrie has visited us in Texas a few times since we bought our place here.

Hubs and I have enjoyed touring her around and I’ve especially enjoyed the fact that she loves to walk and hike.

My feature photo was taken at Quinta Mazatlan, a fascinating and fun place to visit in McAllen, Tx

We found this mural while hiking the trails that surround the historic adobe mansion.

As I was making this post, I was reminded of the Beatles’ song, “All You Need is Love”.

    Wow, McAllen. My brother-in-law lives there, so I might need to check out that mural the next time we visit him.

      We’ve visited Quinta Mazatlan a couple of times since we’ve been coming down here, Edward. It has a fab history, so I’m sure you’d enjoy it. How cool that your brother lives there. Our winter place is under a 15 minute drive from McAllen.

      I love that song too, Betty. At home in Canada, Carrie lives in my home town (only 18 miles from where hubs and I live now), so we see each other often over the summers too. Have a great day!
