This time of year is usually busy for me, as I prepare for Christmas.
Either this year is busier than usual, or another year added to my age has slowed me down a bit. Hmmm – I wonder which is true.
My goal for tonight and tomorrow morning, is to try to get caught up with the bloggers I follow.

This year is quite different for me. I am insisting on NOT making a fuss and very little work. It is lovely to decorate seasonally and eat special food and all the extra work and presents and so on, if we are happy to do that. Having done that for years and years, this year I am not. It might be the only year that I don’t prepare or celebrate in a big way, but the nice thing is that I feel no stress. And when it is so hot here, I often feel the stress of all the extra duties.
That said, your year may be busier. Time goes faster when you are busy. This year does seem to have flown quickly.
Good for you for finding a way to decrease stress during a time that should be happy. I actually enjoy the busyness, Amanda. Doing my traditional things adds to my enjoyment of the season. I find that each year I grow older, the time passes more quickly. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas as well!
