Bright and Blah Lunch

3/4 Cup canned white albacore tuna mixed with a bit of chopped onion and miracle whip dressing, on top of a bed of iceberg lettuce and surrounded by home grown cherry tomatoes gifted by a friend … simple, refreshing, and nutritious, albeit a bit boring.

the red tomatoes perk it up. I confess I can’t face any more lettuce at the moment. What is your miracle dressing?

Miracle Whip is a store-bought dressing that’s been around in North America for as long as I can remember, Carole. It comes in a jar similar to Mayo and has similar ingredients – maybe just seasoned a bit differently. Have a great rest tonight!

It looks healthy, and likely tastes very nice.

It didn’t taste too bad at all, Phil … and yes, pretty healthy. Have a great day!

It’s similar to mayo, but is classed as a dressing, Lana. There are varying opinions out there as to which one is healthier. We don’t eat it often enough for it to make a difference one way or the other healthwise. It’s just the option that hubs and I prefer. Have a great day!

Wow, we almost prepared the tuna the same way. I add Vegan or Light Mayo to mine instead of Miracle Whip, though I think it’s the same thing.

Onions make it exciting! 🙂 I love them. The meal may be boring, but reaching your goal will not be!

Because I’m a self-confessed foodie, I have to admit that I even enjoy boring food, lol. I use onions in almost everything. Thanks for the encouragement, Betty and have a great day!

Miracle Whip was a staple in my childhood. Haven’t had it in decades. Your lunch looks good to me. Can’t get more boring than cottage cheese with fruit, which is what I have most days.

We use Miracle Whip all of the time, and prefer it to mayo. I love cottage cheese with fruit. Have a fab day, Suzanne!
