Decorated Dugouts

I recently walked over to one of our many parks because I learned that this past spring, murals had been painted on the backs of some of the baseball dugouts.

The one in my cover photo spells out our city (Weyburn) in symbols.

These works have brought art, colour, and fun to the site.

There are a few more dugouts in this park, slated for completion next year.

Those are very nice. I like the one that says Jubilee Park.

That one depicts everything that’s offered in Jubilee Park. It’s the main outdoor sports and recreation venue in our small prairie city. Enjoy your day!

Nice touch. If that were in Ft Worth or Dallas, they would be tagged with profanities. You must live in a civilized town. Momo and I are considering moving to a place that’s cool and smaller, perhaps with a population of around 1,000 people, including dogs.

Our little city (town by some standards) is around 10,000 and has, for many years been recognized among the friendliest in Canada for a city this size. I hope you and Momo find what you’re looking for, Phil. Have a great day!

Now that’s a real home run for public art β€” turning dugouts into drawn-ins! ⚾🎨

Nice. In the ballparks close to our house, they tore out all the dugouts because people were using them to do drugs and were discarding used needles etc in them. (There were big garbage cans right outside each dugout. 🀦)
