“Thank You, Self!”

Self gifting is how I describe purchasing unnecessary items, just because you’re interested in them and you want to give them a try. The likelihood of anyone else gifting them, to you is, at best, slim, so you treat yourself.

Silicone bakeware has always intrigued me.

Last week, I finally caved in to my curiosity, and bought this muffin pan.

Can you guess what I’m baking that might work better in this than in a regular muffin tin?

*Big reveal and review coming on Monday.*

OK, I’m totally going to steal the ‘self gifting’ description! I love that reframing. And now I’m very curious to know what you make first! I have some silicone cupcake liners. It may be my imagination, but I don’t think my items brown up as nicely when I use them, compared to my old, standard metal muffin tins. I’m anxious to see what you think of your self gift. Have a terrific day!

Thanks, Lenore! I’ve read that things don’t brown as well in silicone. We’ll see. Have a fab day!

My wife uses silicone baking cups and really likes them. I look forward to seeing the results.

The non-stick quality with no need for oils or sprays is what attracted me.

That’s the same reason she got them.

I have no idea! Years ago, I came across a set of silicone bake ware – at a garage sale I think. I still use it extensively. I love it. On Monday, I might have a new recipe for my muffin pan! Have a great weekend, Terry!

I appreciate your comments about the silicone bakeware, Betty. Until now, all I’ve had in the silicone cookware department are spatulas and a pastry brush and I love those. Fingers crossed that all goes well, so I’ll have a recipe to share for your muffin pan. Have a fab Friday!

I’m excited to see what comes out of that pan, Terry. The last thing I gifted myself was a bottle of collagen supplements. I actually just ordered a second bottle. That stuff is amazing – for me anyway! Have a great day, Terry! 😊🌹

Ooh, the thrill of a *self-gift*—especially one that sparks curiosity and creativity! A silicone muffin pan opens up so many possibilities: perfectly steamed dumplings, effortless egg bites, or even melt-and-pour soap experiments? (Or perhaps something delightfully unexpected?)

Can’t wait for Monday’s big reveal—here’s to baking (or crafting?) adventures with zero guilt and 100% joy! 🧁🔥

    *(P.S. Silicone’s flexibility *must* mean flawlessly released muffins… right Terry ?)* 😉
