Sentimental Soup

This week, canned soup from Tim Hortons (a Canadian coffee shop and lunch spot as popular for us as Starbucks is for folks in the USA ), was on sale, so we picked up a few cans to try it out.

I’ve been a dedicated Campbell’s Soup lover forever, so to say I had reservations is an understatement.

Review: The vegetable soup was bursting with flavour and contained some different pasta and veggies than what’s in the Campbell’s brand.

The tall saltine crackers tin, I’ve had for years. It’s a part of our soup ritual, so had to be included in the photo.

Soup is so integral to all cultures the world over, if you want to get in touch with a new home, sample their local traditional soups. Thanks for the lovely warm photo, I can smell the rich aroma emanating from your blog.

We used to eat a lot of Campbell soup but since moving to Portugal and hubby being border-line diabetic we had to make our own – no sugar and not too much salt.

Good promo by Tim Hortons seeling in coffee shop. order coffee and take home a tin of soup for lunch 🙂

Home made soup is “the” best, Carole! I make it sometimes in my Instant Pot. Timmy’s sells soup by the bowl in their coffee shop. I’ve only seen their tinned soups in the grocery store. Great idea on that promo though!

Thanks for stopping by, Betty! Was just reading where LBJ Lake is flooding, as well as other locales in Texas Hill Country. Prayers for the safety of all and especially for my dear friend in Llano, TX

I’m a soup guy, Momo, not so much. H.E.B., our Texas grocer, has great soups as well as the standard brands.

Will definitely check out H.E.B soups this winter, Phil! We have one of their stores only a few blocks from our park. Thanks for the recommendation!
