TMI and Changes

For some time now, I’ve been searching for a way to change my blog posts.

Many different iterations have consistently resulted in a similar format.

Moving forward – at least for now, I’m going to move to photos only posts.

I have a strong feeling that I’ve been sharing far too much personal info in my posts.

From today onward, I’ll just share some of my fave photos with limited commentary by me.

As time permits, I’ll continue to read and comment on the bloggers that I follow.

I hope this change will be received well by my followers.

I want you to know that I have so enjoyed all your blog posts. You are one of my favorite bloggers. I felt like I was sitting at the kitchen table with you and having a lovely conversation about what you were cooking, discovering, memories, adventures, travels, and more. Please feel free to contact me anytime; I hope our paths cross and we can meet up sometime. In the meanwhile, I will continue to look forward to your posts. Your photography is beautiful.

Hi Terri, it was certainly not my intention to ask you to share publicly. Sorry for the confusion. I’m glad it wasn’t a reader incident.

I understood that, Suzanne so there was no confusion. I’m just choosing to be extra cautious with all of my social media.

Hi Terry, I too am in the ‘curious’ camp regarding your decision about over sharing. Especially since I am the Queen of oversharing. Was there an incident with a reader? There is nothing wrong with a photo blog and I respect your choice, but I do enjoy connecting with other bloggers through their personal stories and I will miss that aspect of your blog.

If you don’t want to reveal the process behind the decision, I fully understand. Otherwise, my Contact Me page is always open.

Thanks, Suzanne. I’d rather not publicly state the details. It wasn’t an incident with a reader.

I love coming to your blog Terry and I look forward to all of the content that you share with us! I will still be an appreciative reader regardless of what you decide! After all, it’s YOUR blog! Do whatever makes you happy! I think often times google kind of urges us into writing long form content, which I defy as you know from my blog! Whatever LOL 😅

100% in support. That’s the beauty of blogging, you can adjust and share other content, such as photos. Photos are a great way to capture life and share it with others.

You can actually delete the entire blog if you want to remove that information from public consumption and start over with a photos only one.

Terry, I’ve read many of your blog post having found your blog recently. I find them well written and funny. Being retired is tough, being radically retired must be double tough. I’ve been at this for 13 years, and at times have likely said too much and shared the same, so I get ya. Many blogging folks think they have to post something everyday, so yep, they share too much personal information with the masses, easy to do. Take a wee break and give it another shot in a while. Blogging is like the Seinfeld show, it doesn’t have to be about anything, just observations.

Terry, I wonder why you have a strong feeling that you have shared too much, but in any case I fully support however you want to blog. Not sure if this relates. When we were debating volunteering vs. RV travel, my son said, “What is the goal?” While the question didn’t give us all the answers, it did help us focus on certain aspects. I think it’s important to ask that question of blogging, too. Love the pink flowers, and I hope you have a nice afternoon!
