I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween.

Something I do miss here in South Texas is the little visitors coming for treats. Although after moving to our condo building at our Canadian home, we only had “invitational” trick or treaters, we still got to see our great nieces and great nephews in their costumes. Here, in our 55+ gated community, we don’t see any kiddos coming for treats and that detracts a bit from the fun.

On my sunrise walk yesterday morning, I did enjoy seeing several yards decorated for the occasion, and wouldn’t you know it, I saw a pure black cat (with a ghoulish look on his face, I might add) out for a stroll.

Photo Note: I took the original photo of this cat into the FOCOS app to add some depth of field. I could have spent a little more time tweaking it for clearer focus on the cat, but because I’ve still got lots to do to get our home settled for the winter, I’m foregoing (for now anyways) spending a lot of time post processing photos.
