While I Blinked

Recently, I read a post by Bernie at Equipoise Life about activities with her grandkids.

I was immediately reminded of the same things I enjoyed with our two grands who are now active, successful, and busy adults.

My advice to anyone reading this: If you have small grandkids, savour every minute you can get with them. You’re not only building memories to last them a lifetime. You’re making memories for yourself that you’ll cherish for the rest of your days.

The days of making annual Easter Bonnets and colouring eggs together (among so many other activities) are long gone, but the memories live on.

While I blinked, our grandkids turned 26 and 20.

Ah thanks for the link up. Indeed it goes so fast. Every year I make them a photo memory book — I should also be making myself one so I can easily cherish those times.

You’re very welcome for the shout out. That photo memory book is a great idea, for both them and you, Bernie. Have a fab Thursday!

My one little granddaughter just turned 2. The only con to traveling so much is missing her! But my son and DIL are taking care of our home while we’re gone, so when we’re home for short periods of time, I get her almost 24/7. So fun!

Enjoy every second you can get with her, Lenore. Nice that you have them to care for your home while you’re away. My sister has been staying in our condo over the winters when we’re in Texas. It gives extreme peace of mind to have someone you know and trust to look after things for you. Enjoy your day!

The older we get the faster time passes by, it seems, Betty. Have a great day!

Totally agree! And you can’t go back, even for a second. So, like your post says, make the most of now.
