Friday Freestyling

It seems that when I theme the days of my posts, I have an easier time coming up with ideas.

The Mon,Weds, Fri routine feels like a better fit than random posts as they pop into my head, because I can sometimes go a long time without a random idea (suitable for a post), and then other times, my brain is a randomness convention and I find I want to post too often.

So far, I haven’t decided on a firm Monday theme, but I have a few ideas, and will post the final decision after this weekend.

Wednesdays will be “Read My Sign” (my take on wordless Wednesday).

“Freestyling Fridays” will be random, because I need a bit of the unplanned and unexpected and maybe you do too.

My feature photo is our recent purchase.

Her name is Lily. She’s the first white vehicle either of us has ever owned, thus the name.

The truck was too difficult for me to handle because I couldn’t judge the length of it for parking and passing. In addition, it’s served its purpose, so we wanted something a bit more economical fuel-wise.

Bye-bye old boy
You served us well

Maybe your Monday posts can be about food. I always enjoy seeing what you are making. 🙂 Just a thought.

I’ll likely do food posts in my Friday Freestyling theme because that also works for Foodie Friday 👩‍🍳😊

We also have a white car. 🙂 I can’t believe you used to drive that monster of a truck.

Only around town here at home, Carole. It was more vehicle than I cared to handle.

Ah good to live in the city with a white vehicle. Not so good on a gravel road. Is it a hybrid?

It’s not a hybrid. I had one of those out for a few days while our truck was unavailable and didn’t really care for it.

We love our hybrid but perhaps it depends on what and where. It is great for city driving but less so for all the highway driving we do. Bernie

Congrats on the new vehicle Terry. You cannot beat a white coloured car in my opinion, goes with every garage door colour! Franc’s work cars come as they come not always in white but current one is dark grey like your old boy, another neutral shade I like.

Thanks, Lana! What I really like about the white are two things: 1. It doesn’t attract the heat as much as dark coloured vehicles do, and 2. It doesn’t show every speck of dust like dark coloured vehicles do. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Lily is a beautiful vehicle. Have fun learning all her bells and whistles. 🤗

Thanks, Anne! We lucked out on this one, and because of the size of Weyburn, we know almost everyone in the area, including our car salesman and the person who previously owned the car. That’s one of the many advantages of living in a smaller place. Have a great Friday!

Your new vehicle looks very nice! We have our new-to-us truck now which we bought for hauling our travel trailer. It’s a nice truck, but we definitely won’t keep it when we don’t need it. On the positive side, we are getting extra steps in as we park far away when we go to stores, etc. Enjoy your new car, Terry!

Thanks, Betty. This is also a “new to us” vehicle. It’s a 2023, has low mileage and was well maintained. I’m very much enjoying it so far. Lots of “new car” bells and whistles to get accustomed to, but I love technology so am getting there. Those extra steps are definitely a bonus. I’ve always parked that way when I’m alone. Hubs has a handicapped parking pass for various health issues, so the parking lot steps when he’s with me don’t happen. Have a great day!
