Happiness Is … Spring at Last

Happiness landed firmly this past week, as more and more signs of spring appeared on my walking trails.

The showy flowers on the Dwarf Russian Almond shrub in my feature photo made me smile.

Caraganas are also finally kicking out their masses of yellow blossoms now. These blossoms always bring back happy memories of my childhood home.

Caragana

Everything is showing signs of life and rejuvenation after a cooler, dryer, and windier than usual May.

Striped Squill

The grass alongside our many trails is greening up, and the trees will soon be completely leafed out.

Even the dandelions are a welcome sight!

Spring was LONG wasn’t it! Good it finally arrived although it feels like it went straight to summer heat.

The unrelenting wind was tiresome this spring, Bernie. I don’t mind the heat.

I find both get draining in a day after day after day scenario. Bernie

It sure is, Edward. From here on in, with all of the wildlife, the flowers, and the trees, every day gets better.

Beautiful photos of those signs of spring! Also, that looks like a terrific walking path! I bet it’s nice to walk somewhere, away from traffic etc. Great post!

Thank you, Lenore! We have a fantastic trail system developed here. I’ll be doing a post about it once I gather photos of all of the many sections. Have a fab evening!

So nice to hear from you, Anne and I’m happy you enjoyed the pics. I think the cold weather is finally in our rear view mirror. Have a great evening!

Beautiful Terry. Do you ever go and take a look at your childhood home?

We live only a 20-minute drive away and I have siblings still living in my home town, so yes, often, Lana. The caragana hedge has been gone for many years, as are my mom’s beautiful park-like gardens. The house still stands.

It does seem that spring was a long time coming this year!

There too, Mary? It was likely at least two to three weeks delayed here. Have a great day!
