Positives for the Win

Yesterday morning, I looked out my balcony door and saw that the snowfall from the previous day was completely gone. I donned my winter coat and enjoyed my first outdoor walk since we arrived back home.

At just above freezing, it was a chilly morning. In spite of that, the air was clean and fresh, and after a couple of city blocks to get to the river boardwalk, I realized that I had bundled up a bit too warm. Now I know what to wear when I head out for my walk today.

After walking up and down the same streets of a south Texas RV Park all winter, the riverside walk was most welcome, and even though the water will be muddy for a while yet, the ice is completely gone.

On my way to the boardwalk, I ran into two gals from my hometown who Iโ€™ve known all of my life. Yes, it slowed my average power walk pace, but our 30+ minute visit catching up was fun and enjoyable.

Each and every negative had a positive side that was stronger. Donโ€™t you love it when that happens?

I took my pup Jackpot for a walk yesterday in 80 (ยฐ) and he was ready to call it good after a few blocks. He would have loved your stroll.

Iโ€™m guessing Jackpot is a big long haired breed.

Actually a pug, whose little snub nose does not work well in heated times.

Absolutely, Lana! Weโ€™re in a small prairie city of about 12,000 people. The city council has been very conscious of the needs of hikers, walkers, joggers, and bikers and has developed an exceptional trail system for their use. Hubs and I live in the heart of the city, so every trail is in easy walking distance for me.

Terry, love this! Way to find the silver lining. On cold spring days, when the sky is a deep blue, and the wind is from the north, I love to face the wind and take several deep breaths through my nose, so invigorating, cleansing somehow. Glad you made it back home safely! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

Thanks, Betty and youโ€™re 100% correct. As much as I love winters in a warmer climate, traveling, and seeing new things, Iโ€™m always very happy to be home. Have a great day!
