While friends and family at home in southern Saskatchewan, Canada are battling strong winds, icy roads, and hazardous driving and outdoor walking conditions, I feel very blessed to be able to walk outside our front door door here in south Texas to practice my floral photography on our neighbourโs repeat blooming climbing rose.

I learned several years ago to never complain about cool days down here to my friends and family at home in Canada. Zero sympathy there, as well, Betty. Itโs hard to explain to someone who hasnโt experienced overnight extremes in temperatures. When my cousin visited and experienced it herself, then she understood. Have a great evening and rest tonight and keep warm ๐

Weโre thankful for what we have here for sure, Carole. Thereโs often winter snow in the northern part of Texas (called the panhandle). Itโs a big state. We winter over 1200 km south of Amarillo, TX which is close to the middle of the panhandle. That rose bush blooms off and on all winter long. Sorry to hear about all of that rain. Iโll bet at least some of your gardens appreciate it.
