Just Ask a Question

Before we left Starbase, we noticed one Tesla truck that was bright orange.

It stood out from the pack of identical metal coloured ev’s like the proverbial sore thumb.

There was a fellow plugging it in to the charger and his wife/girlfriend was taking photos. There was another couple nearby who appeared to own one of the grey metallic clones.

Hubs thought that these people looked approachable, so he decided to stop and ask them some questions about the cyber trucks.

They were all extremely obliging, answered all of hubs’ questions, and even invited us to their Mars-themed beach party, which was to take place last Saturday evening.

We asked if they were Space X employees and they told us they were from Dallas and Missouri and were just major Tesla fans visiting the area over Christmas.

They told hubs that once you buy a Tesla cyber truck, you can customize it any way you wish to.

The young couple that owned the orange Tesla, had every electric kitchen appliance you could think of, plugged in to the box of the truck!

Once again, we learned that people are friendly and kind – all you have to do sometimes is ask a question.

P.S. Although we appreciated the invitation, we didn’t attend the Mars Beach Party. I would imagine that it was pretty “far out, man!”

The problem with a Mars Beach party is that the beach offers great views, but absolutely no atmosphere.

Terry, Yes! We have found this to be so true as we travel and camp and as we volunteer. Look for the good, and you will find it. Now I bet that would have been an interesting post had you gone to the party! Happy New Year!

I hear the cybertrucks have quite a few problems but this couple seemed happy with their purchase.

Both couples were very happy, Amanda, and have been dedicated Tesla customers for several years. I know what you mean about hearing about problems. I have too, but never from anyone I’ve known … just social media stuff. I’ve come to a place where I believe things from my own experiences or from those of people I know or have met in person.

That sounds like a nice evening! (Minus the fireworks for Molly). Ours will also be nice and quiet.

They actually have pet sitting services down here for pets who react to fireworks. I don’t know how they achieve that unless they have sound proof rooms. I would think the anxiety would be even stronger away from home.

It’s always so nice to have those friendly encounters, Anne. It continually restores our faith in humanity. Although there’s a dance and karaoke evening planned at our park’s main hall for tonight, we intend to just stay home and have a quiet evening. There are always fireworks in the neighbourhood next to us that we can watch from our back yard. I hope you have a good New Year’s Eve too, Anne!
