Happy Places and Spaces

This is just a wee glimpse of my home office.

The centre framed piece is a poem I had published around 40 years ago.

I have an arm chair and footstool in there that fits me perfectly. It’s a great spot to read, knit, meditate, and crochet.

The decor is all about memories that fill my bucket. It’s my space.

Do you have a happy place inside of your home?

I have a ‘craft corner’ in my bedroom with a comfy chair. A lovely place to sit and knit, crochet, read or just be.

Thank you for sharing your happy place. Outside of the kitchen I spend a lot of time in my office/dressing room. I would certainly like a reading chair though at some stage.

lovely post🌷my happy space is a wee balcony overlooking a forest patch with migrating birds, a cow, few silly dogs and an officious looking street cat. I paint here often, or just chat with the light. Didn’t realize it had a banner😍 “”happy place”! Thank you fr this nudge💜

My happy place is looking from the patio sofa across to the garden.

My study is where I paint and write. I darent show a picture it is a pigsty.

I can imagine how wonderful it is to sit on that patio sofa and soak up the rewards of your hard work, Carole. Sometimes my creative space gets a little cluttered too … It’s the nature of the beast.

My happy space is all over the place. I am so happy in the kitchen cooking food for us. I am so happy sitting next to him on our love seats just talking, reading, relaxing, whatever it is we are doing. I am so happy sitting outside around our fire pit with him with our thoughts a million miles away. I am so happy in my quilting space as he often says, “Can we keep that quilt?” I could go on and on. Yes, my happy space.

What a nice space! I’d be interested in reading that poem. 🙂 Our home is smaller, and our travel trailer is what 250 square feet? My happy place is most anywhere – except the basement of our home. Too much stuff!

Thanks, Betty. The poem is a personal one, written for hubs when we were first married. Thanks also, for sharing your happy place!

That sounds like the perfect Happy Place for you Terry. My Happy Place in my house would be my recliner in the livingroom (not because it reclines – I just like it). But, I have to fight Molly for it, so my truly Happy Place is pretty much anywhere out in our yard.

Thanks, Anne! When we had our house, the yard was my happy place too, so I truly get that!
