      Watching it happen was pretty cute too, Anne. My cousin was the one holding the lettuce. As soon as the tortoise opened wide and reached forward, my cousin dropped that lettuce and jumped back at least two feet! She said, “Those are big teeth!”
      I was lucky to get the last shot because I was giggling so hard.

        They were rescued sea tortoises, Anne – at South Padre Island in Texas, and yes very big!

        They are very pretty. Granddaughter Genie has a big turtle that has been around the family since she was born. Bubbles is cool but kind of a froggy green.
