Dec 07, 2023 – Ceremony at The Alamo in San Antonio, TX for the reading and loan of David Crockett’s last letter from Tennessee. Davey Crockett, aka “King of the wild frontier”, died in the battle of the Alamo.

    I’ve never been to the Alamo. Just yesterday, I saw a video about visiting San Antonio and the Alamo….maybe your post is a sign that I should plan a visit to TX! :o)

      We absolutely loved San Antonio, Lenore. We went in early December and the Christmas decorations along the Riverwalk and in other parts of the city were phenomenal. Both the Riverwalk and The Alamo alone make the visit worthwhile. Just a hint: be sure to check the average temperatures for the time you choose to visit, as it’s a city of extremes.
