Breakfast of Champions

My favourite meal out is this breakfast – especially when the over-easy eggs, the slightly crispy bacon, the brown toast, and the hash browns are cooked to perfection!

Do you have a fave restaurant meal?

Although I am not a great fan of a cooked breakfast yours does look delicious.

As for my favourite restaurant meal … fresh dressed crab eaten by the ocean

That sounds fab, Carole! I also enjoy meals with fresh-caught fish/seafood.

Oh that looks a good breakfast but eating out I prefer to order things I can’t cook or ingredients not usually purchased.

Is that rice on the plate too? Franc and I had breakfast out yesterday at our nearest golf club. We had never been before despite it only a few minutes drive. It was a very nice treat, eating watching the early golfers clear bunkers. Unexpectedly but welcomed was the fried bread addition. Do you have this in Canada?

I think what you’re seeing is the shredded hash brown potatoes, Lana. It’s a staple side dish with breakfasts here. I’m not sure about the fried bread. We have a version of fried bread named bannock made by our indigenous people here in Canada. We also have French toast which is also a type of fried bread. When I looked up the British version, it was different again.

Ah shredded hash browns – I had not seen those before. We just seem to have regular ones here, usually triangle in shape. British fried bread is white bread slices dunked in the deep fat fryer a while 🙂

Breakfast is my favorite meal to eat out. I like the meal you feature, or I’d like a veggie omelet. You’re making me hungry! Especially because I haven’t eaten breakfast yet! Have a great day, Terry!
