I love that roses bloom here in South Texas in December!
When I’m on my morning power walks, I see several varieties of rose bushes in bloom. Where home is for us in Saskatchewan, Canada, anything flowering outdoors at this time of year is an impossibility.
Of all of the different colours of roses I’ve seen here, this pink one is my favourite. I always think that a rose is one of the many ways nature shows off perfection.
Today, we’re heading over to South Padre Island for the day. There are always lots of different types of flowers in bloom there, so I plan to capture a few shots. We like to get over to SPI a few times during the winter. While we’re there today, we’ll enjoy the Christmas Sand Castle Village, maybe spend some time at the beach, book a hotel room for a weekend stay at the end of January, and grab some lunch at one of the many great seafood restaurants there.
My blog posts over the next couple of days will recap today’s adventures.

I love roses, too. But I do like the yellows and oranges – or the ones tinged with red edges. Actually, they are all beautiful! I could keep naming other colors I like. 🙂 Enjoy SPI! That sounds really fun!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Betty! I love all roses too and to me, nothing much beats the velvety look of red roses not yet opened. SPI was wonderful! I have blog material for a few days now 😊 Enjoy what’s left of your Friday!
