Happy Places and Spaces
This is just a wee glimpse of my home office.
The centre framed piece is a poem I had published around 40 years ago.
I have an arm chair and footstool in there that fits me perfectly. It’s a great spot to read, knit, meditate, and crochet.
The decor is all about memories that fill my bucket. It’s my space.

On Hold
For the past couple of days, my outdoor walks have been on hold because winds carrying forest fire smoke from hundreds of miles away have created air quality issues here.
That brownish yellow sky isn’t normal here, thank goodness.

A Garden Gift for an Old Fashioned Dessert
Each year at this time, we’re gifted freshly picked rhubarb from folks we know.
I chopped it up and made a fave dessert from our childhood.

The sight and scent of these purple blossom clusters always take me back to our early marriage and our first home. The property was bordered by a lilac hedge.

A Precious Gift
When I was out for my morning walk yesterday, a sweet young girl ran out from her yard … hand extended, holding a dandelion for me.
After I thanked her, I asked if I could take her picture … she smiled broadly and replied, “Yes please!!”
I didn’t have her parents’ permission to post her photo, so I cropped it to delete her charming and smiling face.
Her beautiful gesture set the tone for my entire day!

Celebrating Taste
Our favourite Chinese restaurant is less than two blocks from where we live.
A few days ago, to celebrate the return of my sense of taste, we ordered takeout from there.
