There Comes a Point in Life …

I’ve always wanted to try to make focaccia bread.

It’s a satisfying tasting experience to eat it warm and dipped in a plate of olive oil/balsamic vinegar.

Two days ago, I finally took the reins and made it!

I’ll be making it often now.

There comes a point in your life when you need to stop eating other people’s bread and make your own!”

Well done! I love focaccia bread. Mr. Piglet used to make it. I must remind him.

That’s wonderful that your Mr is a baker. Mine’s not, but he washes and dries every single dish/bowl/cup/utensil as I’m cooking and baking, so that makes it very easy for me.

It looks delicious! I went to see my 96 year old aunt this summer when we went to Gravelbourg. She is still living in their large family home – alone and still driving around to do her own errands. Plus – she still makes homemade bread, by hand.

We had fresh focaccia bread at a restaurant once. It was SO good! When I researched making it, it was a job! Good for you, Terry, for making your own. Enjoy!

Thanks, Betty. I found a no-knead recipe, and aside from taking the better part of two days to proof in the fridge, it wasn’t too complicated and turned out very good. Have a fab day!
