Old downtown Santa Fe is warm and inviting.
The soft lines and the terracotta colours of the adobe-styled architecture has a way of making one feel relaxed, cozy, and comfortable. The people are all friendly and helpful and there seem to be smiles everywhere.
It’s a hard feeling to describe, but being there and walking around the area is almost like being cocooned from the rest of the world.

I had never experienced a downtown area like old Santa Fe and I could have stayed and shopped and dined for hours, but I still had my third bucket list hit to experience, so we had to move on. The “big reveal” of that bucket list item is tomorrow … any guesses as to what it might be?
Photo Note: Because most of these photos were shot at around 9:30 am, the sun wasn’t directly overhead so the lighting wasn’t too harsh. These photos needed only minor tuning in Snapseed to make the adobe colour closer to what is seen with the naked eye.

You have me wanting to go to Santa Fe. It really looks like a cool place. My guess for your next stop is….. Bandelier National Monument. Either that or Vegas. ha ha – Just kidding. I look forward to finding out where you go next!

Santa Fe truly “is” a special place, Betty. Actually we’ve been to Vegas many times and we just recently agreed that we have no big desire to go there anymore. I’m not familiar with Bandelier National Monument but you can be sure I’ll be looking it up 😊 Our next stop is right in Santa Fe and is the only reason we went there. Everything else I’ve posted about was a bonus. Thanks for stopping by to read and comment. Have a great afternoon!
