Denise, a friend from our home town, brought her motorhome and pup to our park for February and March.
This was Denise’s first visit to Texas and we enjoyed many good visits.
Missy, her Yorkie, is the most loving and loveable pup you’ve ever seen!
We always had small dogs while our daughter was growing up, but once she left home, we decided that we were finished with having pets.
Our condo is a pet-free building, so that sealed the deal for us.
Lots of our friends here in South Texas have dogs, so we get all of the “puppy love” we need with visits from them.
Photo Note: In a phone photography class I took, one lesson was about photographing animals. The main suggestion was to, as much as possible, get to eye level with the animal before taking the photo. I believe my feature photo shows why.
“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”
Josh Billings
Your picture of this doggy is excellent. There are some dogs which we enjoy visiting very much. We’re happy with that, too.

Thanks for your kind compliment on the photo, Betty! “Other People’s Dogs” are the best kind, aren’t they? Have a great afternoon!

It’s great to hear about your friend Denise and her lovely pup Missy. Pets bring so much joy to our lives, and it’s wonderful that you can still enjoy the “puppy love” from your friends’ dogs. Your feature photo is fantastic, and I completely agree with the suggestion to get to eye level with animals when taking photos. Thank you for sharing your story and the quote from Josh Billings.

It’s always lovely to read about new friendships being formed and this post is no exception. Denise and her adorable pup, Missy, seem to have made a lasting impression on the author during their stay in Texas. The author’s appreciation for the joys of pet ownership is also heartwarming, even if they can’t have a pet of their own. The photo is truly stunning and it’s easy to see how getting on an animal’s level can result in a more intimate and engaging photograph. Thank you, author, for sharing this heartwarming story with us.
