For those following along on the progress of our orange tree, I’m happy to report that things seem to be coming along fine.

Because we’ve been in a bit of a hot and dry spell, I watered a few times over the past couple of weeks.

Yesterday, I was excited to see that the baby oranges are growing.

In my last post about this, The Pace of Nature, one of the photos compared the size of the oranges at that time to my baby fingernail.

My feature photo compares the size to my thumbnail, so since March 3, there has been definite growth.

I tried to do a bit of a “head count” this morning, and stopped counting after 40. That was a quick count of those easily visible. I know I missed many. Fingers crossed that this means a good crop this season.

“Many kinds of fruit grow upon the tree of life, but none so sweet as friendship; as with the orange tree its blossoms and fruit appear at the same time, full of refreshment for sense and for soul.”
