Every once in a while (often, actually), something happens to remind me of my Dad.

On a recent trip to Nuevo Progreso, MX, we were walking through the market when I saw the sign in my feature photo.

Arturo’s is a well-known restaurant in Weslaco, TX that serves authentic Mexican food. We’ve enjoyed great meals at the Weslaco location.

I was surprised to see that there was a location at the market in Nuevo Progreso and that I hadn’t noticed it on previous visits.

In researching the restaurant name, I discovered that there are possibly two different chains with the same name. The reason I believe there are two is because the signs have completely different logos/designs.

Anyways … back to Dad. What stood out to me about this sign was the big “Rossy”. When we started travelling with my parents, this became my Dad’s affectionate nickname for hubs, and once Dad started referring to hubs as “Rossy”, it caught on with my entire family.

I smiled as I took the photo and felt a strong presence of my Dad.
