Once again, I’ve been away from posting for a few days.
Things are coming along nicely here as we make our winter home comfortable and liveable.
The past few days have been cool and wet. My morning walks have suffered, but, despite the weather, I’ve managed to still get in a respectable amount of steps throughout each day.
We have a new “smart stove”, and I’m afraid it’s a bit smarter than I am. Being the techy geek I am, I’m determined to master the beast.
Today, I baked chocolate chip cookies. I wasn’t thrilled with the results, but I donated a dozen to hub’s poker gang and they must have been ok because not even a crumb came back home.
I have a big learning curve for the “smarter than me” oven … it’s a challenge I’m prepared to take.

Oh wow!! Well, sounds a bit similar to my husband’s new Ford 250! There’s an app he can use to start it. And, when driving at night, the headlights automatically dim themselves when another car comes! Eeks! Ha

A “Smart Oven” does sound a bit intimidating to me. But, I would force myself to master it, too. It’s good for us to learn new things! And it sounds like the cookies were pretty good! I understand not walking as much in the “cool and wet.” I can take our cold, but not if you add in wet and windy. Yesterday, we went to the mall to get our steps. 😦 I like outside so much better! Enjoy your winter home – with cookies in the oven, it sounds so nice and cozy!

I don’t see anything wrong with those cookies; they look perfectly mouthwatering and I’m sure I could have managed to eat several of them myself! Now a smart stove – that’s a new one to me. Congrats on the successful bake in the new stove Terry. Perfect photo too!

Thank you for your kind compliments on the cookies and the photo, Helene! I’m still learning the new stove. Today, I’m checking the accuracy of the oven temperature. I tried artisan bread last night with moderately good results. Enjoy your day!
