I had planned a different post for today, but fell asleep before sunset, so didn’t catch the photo I wanted to feature. I’ll try again tonight.
On my Sunday walk at morning golden hour, I saw these marigolds in an annual bed beside our courthouse. They were so vibrant dressed in their autumn finest and seemed to be calling out, “I’m ready to have my picture taken”.
Photo Note: Morning golden hour does all of the work for many photos, as it did with this one. The only post processing I did was to resize.
“As for marigolds, poppies, hollyhocks, and valorous sunflowers, we shall never have a garden without them, both for their own sake, and for the sake of old-fashioned folks, who used to love them
Henry Ward Beecher
Around here, marigolds last well into Fall. I love the vibrant colors, too. And they are so easy to grow! So many reasons to love marigolds! Thanks for your post!
