These recent days, the pre-dawn temperatures are perfect for power walking and the autumn sunrises take my breath away.

I head out in the morning twilight, about a half hour before the sun breaks the horizon, and I finish while morning golden hour is at its best.

When I return home, I reward myself with a cup of coffee, a little photo editing, and some reading.

The 6+ K energizes me for the day, and heaven knows, I need lots of energy these days, as we make our preparations to head south for the winter. It’s less than two weeks to our departure and my lists are edited every day – adding and deleting as hubs and I decide what’s absolutely necessary to take with us.

Photo Note: The original of my feature photo had the trees as quite dark silhouettes. I wanted to show a hint of colour in them to demonstrate that it’s autumn. In Snapseed, I used the selective tool and set the focus on each side, one at a time, to lighten that area of the photo a bit.

“Sunrise looks spectacular in the nature; sunrise looks spectacular in the photos; sunrise looks spectacular in our dreams; sunrise looks spectacular in the paintings, because it really is spectacular!”
