After so many days of pouring rain, I was rewarded today on my early morning walk alongside the river.
The wild roses are in full bloom and the scent is heavenly.
The masses of wild rose bushes are breathtaking and definitely added a happy spring to my step!
The wild rose is the official provincial flower of our neighbouring province of Alberta.

Beautiful photo! The detail is exquisite. You even caught the shadows of the anther. At least I think that is the name of the part that has shadows.
