We spent our second night near Pickstown, SD, and man oh man did that wind blow! It literally rocked our rig for about three hours.
In the morning, we discovered that the wind had completely removed and destroyed the roof fridge vent cover and had almost destroyed the roof kitchen fan vent cover. That one was just hanging on by a thread. We were now sincerely hoping for no rain until we could find an RV parts shop. Because we choose to take secondary highways vs the interstate system, an RV parts shop could be a ways down the road!
Our morning of day three was full of promise, weather-wise, as we passed the Fort Randall Dam and reservoir (Missouri River)
I’m opting to omit my usual closing quotes until I’m caught up to date. I sort of miss them – do you?
I am just glad to have you back posting! The quotes will be great when you can get to them. Good luck with your repairs!
