We got through North Dakota on day one. Our goal was to drive through at least one state per day until Texas. From our home to the Texas border is just a bit farther than our drive “through” Texas.
Heading into South Dakota on the morning of day two, we hit some weather. The freezing rain and sleet made for dicey visibility for a several miles. As you can see, the windshield defrost had a hard time keeping up.
I snapped this photo through my “peep holes” as we were approaching Aberdeen, SD. At this point, Texas couldn’t come soon enough for me!
Once again, I was thankful for my retired semi driver hubs behind the wheel of our rig.
I would be so nervous! Especially driving a travel trailer! Glad you made it there safely! Hopefully, next year if you go, you will be able to leave before any winter weather. Enjoy your warm location!

In all honesty, I was a little nervous, but hubs wasn’t, because he drove semis in much worse, so that made a huge difference. It’s not so warm here today, so we went shopping. 😊Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Betty. Have a great rest of your Saturday!

Wow, the road you were traveling on looks a little dicey! I’m glad you made it to your southern destination safely!
