In 2016, I went on a road trip with two girlfriends to Salt Lake City.
We took turns driving and when I wasn’t behind the wheel, I was behind the camera.
Many of my shots were “on the way by”, and through the tinted windows of my car. Unfortunately, that fact distorted the colours somewhat. I corrected it as much as I could in post processing, and, at the end of the day, even though the photos weren’t perfect, they still held the memories.
When we were approaching Miles City, MT, I remember saying, “Holy cow, those are skinny horses!”
Luckily, I had my camera ready and was able to capture a couple of quick shots of the steel sculptures.

When researching this display, I learned that these are the work of sculptor, Jim Dolan, and were temporarily in this location for the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale.
Here’s a link to Jim Dolan’s website:

Oh my! They really do look like real horses. Glad you captured the memory!

Thank you for going back and reading some of my older posts, Jessica. When someone comments on those older posts, I go back and read them again and fond memories come back. I’m a bit of a quote nerd, lol. It’s fun trying to find ones that capture the essence of the posts.

You’re welcome. I understand. I’ve had my Unmeasured Journeys blog since 2015 and I love going back and reading old posts when I remember to. Quote nerd- love that. You find great ones. They’re very fitting. I like to read older posts, just because. Sometimes there is really good stuff in them that I missed because I’m new.
