Our last small town stop on day three of our Saskatchewan road trip was Duck Lake, SK.
Duck Lake was a key battle site in the Northwest Rebellion of 1885.
The Duck Lake murals are an outdoor gallery depicting the history of the area around the time of the rebellion.
Duck Lake is also a part of my history. In 1988/89, I worked six months as Director of Care and six months as Administrator of their then new Special Care Home. This was the first place I ever touched a computer keyboard. My duties at this home laid the resume groundwork for all of my future nursing positions for the remainder of my career.

Great pictures of the murals in Duck Lake!
What a great way to remember the history of the town!

Thanks Nadine! The really cool thing is that they were all commissioned to artists from the area. Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Enjoy your Friday 😊

Interesting! I wonder how the murals hold up over the winter. Also, were the murals there when you worked there? If so, did you notice them then? No need to answer; I know you are still recovering. Perhaps the topic will come back another day. Enjoy your day today!

I’m doing better all the time with my right hand. Some of the murals have weathered over time. The murals project was in its infancy when I worked there. Thanks for reading and commenting. Enjoy the rest of your Friday, Betty!
