On yesterday morning’s power walk, I made a few quick stops to gather some samples of little things.
My goal was for each item to be no bigger than my fingernail.
Macro photography is one of my favourite types, so I thought I’d gather a few things to practice a bit.
One of the great challenges of macro photography with an iPhone, is to have as close to zero camera shake as possible. In this little collage, you’ll see that the berries aren’t as crisp as they could be. This is because I was shooting hand-held vs with a tripod and an external shutter release. If not done properly, even pressing the iPhone shutter button can result in camera shake.

I’m nothing if I’m not determined though, and one of my many retirement goals is to become as proficient as I can in iPhone macro photography.
“You need to let the little things that would ordinarily bore you suddenly thrill you.”
Andy Warhol
I really like macro photography, too. Often times, things seen so closely look so beautiful. Good luck with your efforts!

Sometimes I get shots I’m very pleased with. Other times, not so much. I love seeing the details that can’t be seen with the naked eye. It gives one a whole new appreciation of nature. Thanks for reading and commenting, Betty! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
