We were away for the weekend, visiting our daughter and grandkids, who are about a 5 hour drive north of here.
Our plan was to take the motorhome and stay for a week or two, but unfortunately, we’re still waiting on a couple of parts as “Miss TCB” sits in the shop for her annual servicing.
At 651,900 square kilometres (251,700 sq miles), Saskatchewan is a large province with every type of topography that you could imagine.
We live on the flat prairies of the Southeast. On the way to visit our daughter, after about a 2-hour drive, we pass through the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley.
Hubs made several stops so I could get some photos. I’ll feature a few more in the coming days.
“One sees great things from the valley; only small things from the peak.”
Gilbert K. Chesterton
Beautiful! We are in Iowa. I saw a similar scene here sans the mountains! Hope you had a wonderful trip!

We had a great weekend, Betty. These are gently rolling hills vs mountains, but still a very nice change of scenery from the flat prairie. Thanks for commenting! Have a great Wednesday!

You are right, of course! I guess I just forgot what mountains look like as it is pretty flat here in Iowa!

I hear you there! It’s very flat where we live too. This is as close as we get to mountains in Saskatchewan 😊

Such beautiful scenery. Car trips always offered an authentic glimpse of other landscapes.

We prefer to travel by land for that exact reason, Kristie. Thanks for commenting! Enjoy your Wednesday!
