On a recent morning power walk through the nature habitat, I headed up a grassy path that shot off from my paved path. I often do this to add some elevation and challenge to my walks.
As I looked towards the top of the hill, a large doe was emerging from the brush. She stopped for a long time, seeming to look back at me. I thought perhaps she had a fawn following her, so I didn’t proceed any closer.
I didn’t have my tele lens attached to my phone and I didn’t want to take the time to set it up for fear of missing the shot.
I did the best I could with what I had and then turned back to my regular path to leave this mama in peace.
“People think of deer as Bambi, cute and cuddly, but they can be extremely dangerous in certain circumstances.”

Love the blue sky with the doe standing at the top. Even without your optimal equipment, it is a nice shot!
