Photographers always say that morning and evening golden hours hold the best light.

Right now, I seldom get out to shoot at evening golden hour. I’m sure that will change once we hit the road for our summer tour of our province. I’m counting the days.

Morning golden hour isn’t just a great time for snapping photos. It’s my favourite time of day to power walk. The temperature is usually perfect and it’s the time of day that nature is waking and beginning to stir. The sights and sounds fill my bucket and energize me for the entire day.

The wild roses that line the riverbank are at their most beautiful right now.

“It was June, and the world smelled of roses. The sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside.”
