What Breaks in a Daybreak?

This morning’s sunrise power walk took me to the countryside.

As the sun started to make its appearance on the horizon, I stopped to take a few photos. I shot with a third party camera app set to low light and was very pleased with most of the shots.

On return home, while reviewing the shots, I noticed that I accidentally caught a bird perched on a post.

On the shot before that, I accidentally caught the same bird coming in for a landing.

“What breaks in daybreak? Is it the night? Is it the sun, cracked in two by the horizon like an egg, spilling out light?”
