This spring, hubs and I decided to fight off the “Covid Cabin Fever” by taking a once-weekly drive to explore areas close to home.
These most enjoyable drives have now increased to two or three times per week, and most are for four or five hours. It’s become our favourite way to spend an afternoon.
Yesterday, we drove around on the country roads that we used to cruise as teenagers. We stopped in at many now-abandoned farms where our rural friends grew up. It was a day spent in fond memories and with many laughs.
“When no wind blows, even the weathervane has character.”

What a romantic post.

I didn’t really think about it that way, Jean – but maybe you’re right. Hubs and I are both big on nostalgia and reminiscing. We knew each other for at least 15 years before we married (in 1982), so we share a long history. Thank you for reading and commenting! Enjoy your Saturday!

Sounds like a perfect way to spend time together. You must be enjoying it as the frequency and the duration are increasing. And laughing together is the best! I love the weather vane, too.
