I was back to 6K this morning to start off a new week of power walking and to treat myself to some quiet reflection time, spent along the riverside.
Because I couldn’t decide where to focus in order to capture everything I wanted to in this shot, the photo isn’t the greatest for clarity. The goose, the robin, and the mallard ducks show up better on my tablet than on my phone.
I decided to post it anyways because it demonstrates just one of the many things that made me smile this morning. I saw so many varieties of birds standing guard over their nesting areas. How appropriate that was for today.
Something else that made me smile was to realize how fortunate I am to still have my almost 87 year old Mom who is enjoying good health. I know that, for many others, this isn’t the case, so I never take that for granted.
