On a recent power walk, I stopped on a bridge for a few quiet moments to watch the rock pigeons (aka common pigeons) as they took turns landing on the bridge girders.
This guy seemed to be keeping a side glance eye on me.
From their almost luminous green necks to their deep purple throats, to the variegated grey of their bodies, these beautiful birds gave me the ideas for the colour scheme I want for my newly renovated living room.
Many years ago (when I was on maternity leave), I took an interior design course. I remember one class about colour that said to look to nature for colour schemes, and now I can see why.
“In order to see birds it is necessary to become a part of the silence.”
Robert Lynd
Wonderful advice in that decorating class! The bird does seem to be giving you the side eye.
