I know I’ve featured Canada Geese before.
These birds are abundant by the river. A person can sometimes (cautiously) get very close without startling them. They’re also large enough to show up well in a photo, if a person doesn’t have a professional camera with a long zoom lens.
Canada Geese mate for life, so unless a partner has died, they’re always seen in pairs.
Nesting will be happening soon, and at those times, I won’t be as brave to walk towards them.
This pair, as soon as they spotted me, started hot-footing it towards the river.
“The Canada geese represent an iconic symbol of the wild in North America. The sound of the geese during their fall migration is a crystal stick of the landscape of the North American continent and symbolises the beauty and bounty of nature there.”
