I certainly got my steps in yesterday!

After my 6 Km morning power walk, hubs and I decided to head out for another impromptu drive to explore places near here that weve driven by, but have never stopped to check out.

We visited two regional parks about an hour from here, a large dam and power project in the same area, and a provincial historical site (that I’ve always been curious about) near that area. The stops involved lots of walking and even some climbing.

One of many big thrills yesterday was to find these crocuses in the wild. It’s rare to find these gems around here unless you’re out walking in a pasture. This is a sure sign of spring on the prairies.

I’ll hilight the rest of what we saw yesterday over the next few days. How’s that for a “teaser”?
