No matter where we go in the country, be it around here, or when we travel, we always see abandoned farm houses and buildings.
In the city, these would quickly be demolished and replaced by new structures.
In the country, it seems that they’re left as a testament to days gone by: to times when a hard day’s work was rewarded with a shelter, a meal, and a good night’s sleep.
Seldom are these structures bulldozed down. They’re left to stand, to lean, and to eventually meet their natural demise, usually via a strong wind.

I always wonder why they aren’t bulldozed down. My grandma’s house will be like this someday. It’s sad now but has a long ways to go before it looks like this. Very emotive photo. I wonder what it was like when new.

Thanks for your comment, Kristie. I’ll bet when it was new, it was the pride and joy of whoever lived there first. Have a great day!
