Yesterday, we received more snow here in one day than we had all winter. It was a heavy, wet snow which will be most welcome to the farmers in our area, who were fearing a drought this year.

More of the same is expected through much of today.

Because I have already optimistically stored all of my winter clothing and winter walking gear, I’ve decided to take a couple of days off from my power walking.

I’m baking, reading, photo editing, and loving that retirement doesn’t force me out to the snow-laden streets, as my work life did.

“Is it snowing where you are? All the world that I see from my tower is draped in white and the flakes are coming down as big as pop-corns.”
