The last winter storm here started at about noon yesterday and will continue through much of today. We’ve had wind gusts of up to 100K/h (62 mph) with freezing rain and blowing snow.
As a result, my power walks are on hold for a couple of days.
One of the many beauties of retirement is not having to go out in weather like this.
I snapped my feature photo on March 12. The river ice was starting to melt and I remember having a glimmer of hope that we had seen the last of winter on the prairies.
“In March winter is holding back and spring is pulling forward. Something holds and something pulls inside of us too.”

62 mph? Oh my! Hope you get back to your power walks soon!

Thankfully, it will only last until late afternoon/early evening today. After today, we’re looking at beautiful temperatures from here on in. Thanks for your comment, Betty! Happy Tuesday!
