This little stream runs through one of my walking trails.

A couple of weeks ago, something about the stream caught my eye and prompted me to stop for a moment. I took a closer look and discovered that what had caught my attention were the different shapes and colours and varying transparencies of the melting snow and ice, glowing in the early morning sun.

Since that day, our snow has almost all melted here and we have enjoyed well above seasonal temperatures for all of March.

Have you heard the weather saying, “In like a lamb, out like a lion and vice versa?

The next two days here will prove the old adage to be true with a roaring end of March blizzard.

“The weather folklore stems from ancestral beliefs in balance, meaning if the weather at the start of the month was bad (like a roaring lion), the month should end with good weather (gentle, like a lamb) and vice versa”
