This morning’s brisk walk was almost 8K (close to 5 miles)
I didn’t quite reach power walk pace today, because I had a couple of stops to watch the Canada Geese on the river. It was worth the stops. As they come in to land, feet down, they skate for a long way on the ice, which they’ve maybe mistaken for open water.
Happy First Day of Spring, Everyone!
“Each time you see that indelible V-formation, be grateful for the perfect moment to be alive. And should you hear the geese calling, drink it in, knowing you have been touched with the indescribable magnificence of the Canada Geese.”
~ Barbara Klide
We live across from a small lake. I often see a gaggle of geese landing, and I would love to capture that moment. But I never know when it is going to happen, so I just have to be grateful that I saw it at all! Happy Spring!

Thanks for your comment, Betty. I’m always hopeful to capture those moments too. Sometimes video or burst mode does it. I’m going to keep trying for a good landing or take-off photo (or both if I’m very lucky) It’s trickier with a cell phone camera, but I know it can be done. Enjoy your Saturday!
