On yesterday morning’s sunrise power walk, the sun broke the horizon just as I was 20 minutes into my walk.
The landscape for this shot wouldn’t have been my first choice, but it was all that I had, given that the sun was going to quickly disappear into the overcast winter sky.
Despite the surroundings, the diamond shape of the sunrise glow made the shot worthwhile.

Beautiful shot! And I like the silhouette of the trees. What a treat to see on your walk!

Thanks, Betty! I usually try to avoid power and telephone lines and edit them out when possible. I’m also not fond of the buildings at the horizon. I do like the trees. We’re always our own worst critics 😊

I looked at the beautiful sunrise, the wonderful colors, the shape of the colors around the sun, and the evergreen trees in front of it all. Did not notice the power and telephone lines nor the buildings. I did see the snow in the forefront.

Love the photo.
I rather like telephone lines. I decided ages back to embrace them and it has worked.

Thanks for your comment! I love phone lines, etc if that’s what my focus is – otherwise not so much

I take your point but they are so much a part of our world nowadays. I’m not so sure about editing them out. 😊
